Block brace kit. TR250,5 and 6. Particularly necessary if the six cylinder block is used in competition or bored to beyond .040". Should always be fitted to all engines of 77.0mm bore and plus. All steel cap supports with deep unbrako type capscrews. Heavy duty steel rear oilseal housing adds stability to the block rear in replacing the original aluminium housing. Main caps are fully supported but require to have their caps machined flat.

Alloy Engine Front Plate. TR5/6. Apart from a modern lightweight appearance, the critical threaded holes that so often are the cause of front plate and timing cover leaks have been reinforced. Includes the addition of a stainless steel rubbing plate set into the alloy plate for the timing chain tensioner to rub against. Without this plate the tensioner badly damages the alloy plate within 100Km.

Alloy Finned Oil Sump. TR 250,5 and 6. Unpolished. Straight replacement for the original tin sump. Bigger capacity with cooling fins front to back. Adds rigidity to the long unsupported 6 cylinder block which is not particularly stable, even less so when bored oversize. Windage tray (oil baffle) can be easily modified for competition is also required as are the two brass plugs and copper sealing washers for oil drain and temperature send facility. Alloy Finned Oil Sump. GT6. The GT6/Vitesse marques will benefit from the added rigidity and cooling abilities of the newly developed oil sump. It will accommodate modified exhaust headers, has oil temperature sender facility and is a straight replacement bolt on item. Sump plugs and windage tray extra.

Alloy Finned Oil Sump. TR2, 3 and 4. Unpolished. To the original pattern but modified to obviate the use of extra sump gaskets. Tapped for oil temperature gauge. Rear sump draining can be used with automatic capacity. The sump is strong and good looking with its finned base. It is particularly appropriate for high ambient air temperatures. If you enjoy high speed driving on motorways, autobahns or interstate highways then this sump will give your bearings peace of mind. See also BEN105 to BEN107,BEN111 & BEN113.

Alloy Racing Oil Sump. TR2, 3 and 4. Unpolished. Similar to the original but approximately one inch (25mm) shorter. The overall depth reduction ensures that the alloy fins only just protrude below the chassis rails. If you happen to leave the track and take to the 'rough' it is protected from major damage by the chassis. Apart from better heat dispersion the important aspect is the additional rigidity it gives to the engine block. The tin sump is too flexible for powerful engines. Uprated Crank Thrust Washer Set TR5-
Fanbelt Damper Kit. High performance six cylinder engines often suffer from severe fanbelt oscillation. This usually results in fanbelt failure. It may also at high rpm or it may be induced by throttle ‘blipping’ or dramatic change in engine speeds, up or down. This kit comprises a twin sealed bearing alloy slave pulley on a substantial spigot attached to the engine front plate. The fan belt comes round the alternator pulley and runs backwards over a deeply grooved flat bottom pulley. Normal belt tensioning is used.
